Go Canada Go!
All the best to our strong and talented athletes! I am looking forward to watching our country do their best over the next few weeks. Reminder that next week, February 17-21 there is no school for students.
Music for all grades has become more focused on what we can accomplish now that we have a great foundation. With our Spring Concert coming up, April 10, our classes will focus on how we can be our best for the concert. Our theme this year will be Animals...
Math 4/5's we have just finished up our Fractions unit and have been converting them into Decimals! We have found that we can connect decimals to money and percentages. We are discovering that we need to have the correct amount of change and which NHL hockey team has the worst win percentage!!(Buffalo)
2/3 Science. We have been designing and building vehicles that are propelled by force. Ramp car, elastic cars, balloon cars and sailcars. We will continue to Focus, Investigate and Interpret our results throughout this unit.
Social. Our focus is now on the Fur Trade. We have built a graphic organizer that holds all of our learned information and connections with the unit. The final project will be to examine what a real Fort looks like!
Physical Education. After completing our Olympic courses we have turned to manipulating objects, balls, in the form of Basketball and Dodgeball. We will approach soccer and volleyball soon.
All the best and GO CANADA!
